This is what it feels like...

My room is randomly getting air conditioning - and it's making me want to curl up under the blankets (it's still summer.  that's ridiculous)

Swing last night was a lot of fun.  I dragged Naomi along, and if Henry appears, we'll have 5 swimmers.  This amuses me to no end; I think it's because I want to dance with the swimmers more, but I want it to be my kind of dancing  rather than theirs.  I just like to swing dance more than I like to flail in time to the music... is that bad?

But I threw in a bunch of the swing-out variations I learned over the summer, and Sirkka loved the one that has the outside turn at the end of it.  (Jing didn't get it, though, and I'm not sure if it's my fault or hers.)  Sirkka... kind of turned into a trebuchet, and enjoyed it a lot; we ended and she told Frank that he had to learn how to lead from me :P

Got to a tiny bit of Bible study; we're doing 2 Peter.  I found this bit really interesting - just the progression of it:
For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love.
The jumps there... I just question that godliness and perseverance come before brotherly kindness and love.  Because I see love as springing from 'brotherly kindness', sure, but though I can say that I have love, I can't say that I have anything close to godliness, and my perseverance is sometimes lacking.  Anyways.

I may get to do a glass-blowing class with Naomi.  It's half an hour away, and I'd have to do morning practice on Mondays (ew) but it seems to fit.  I'd have to not be at swing class, though, which would be a pity.  We'll see.

swing, preachiness, art, dance, swimming
