I think it will. Long-term, it needs cat food, because dog food is missing something it needs, taurine, I think -- but I'm sure some dog food is better than no cat food.
Just put a couple dozen kibbles out there with a tupperware lid of water. It's all I have for it right now anyway. The only forage for it back there are the roaches (which, thankfully, stay outside).
I linked this in my LJ in hopes that someone is interested. Honestly, I'd feed it tonight and if it is there tomorrow take it to the Humane Society. Kittens go fast there, and you want someone to get it and fix it before it becomes a cat and makes a dozen more kittens.
First, I have to figure out what to put it in once I catch it. If it stays in that corner, it's easy to capture. I have no idea where it came from. It must have come in through the gate, which it's small enough to fit through.
Don't know how much time I have for it, though. I have to work the next two nights, plus the day job.
It's still very small. I don't think it's ready to breed yet, not for a few more months anyway.
No idea where she came from. Cats don't hang around the building's backyard thanks to the Jack Russell that keeps guard. It probably came through the backyard's front gate; it's small enough to fit through, but I don't know what would have drawn it here.
I've given it some dog food and a little lid of water. We'll see if it eats. Can you bring a little bit of cat food to work tomorrow in case it's still hanging around?
And I refuse to call it "she" or "he" -- no matter how many times I type she and delete it.

You are loath to feed it. You would loathe to do so.
She's really cute, and obviously barely weaned. Do you have a guess how she got there and where her mama might be?
If you like, I could come over later with some Cat Chow borrowed from my little bastards.

No, but I've got Porch Press pasteup tomorrow night and I can drop some off on the way to that.

I don't know why you'd resist. By her markings, she's clearly a calico, which means she's also female. Like my Piper, seen here.

Calico! I knew the markings had a name. Are all calicoes female?
