Seriously.
This morning, I was sitting at the computer when I heard my dog growling and barking viciously just outside the back door. I found she had cornered a very tiny kitten in a pile of wood planks. Poor thing was scared to death, but still hissing and clawing with its teeny tiny paw while cowering in the corner.
I pulled the dog away and put her inside. Over the course of the day, I had to go outside with the dog to make sure she didn't go back after the kitten, which I'm certain she would kill just like a squirrel (or a chipmunk if she ever gets her paws on one).
At one point, the kitten managed to climb the brick wall and perch atop a shorter plank and sleep. Right now, it's on the ground, curled up.
It hasn't eaten yet today. I'm loath to feed it, fearing it will keep coming back; the dog is sure to catch it eventually.
So. If you want a teeny tiny itsy bitsy kitten, let me know. Pictures behind the cut.
Here's Itty Bitty's face:
And here's one of its back so you can see the coloring:
I guess I should leave it some food and water, at least for tonight. Uh, will a cat eat dog food?
