busy busy monday
even though there was only one thing to do, it was still a busy busy day. alex was mr. angryman all night last night, being off the semblance of a schedule that he was on. he woke up about every two hours to eat, which meant a lovely night of sleep(?) for us. he was a doll almost all day today though, and really - i'll take being woken up anyday. i asked for this, and i haven't regretted a second of the whole experience. :) we went to the doctor, where he got a very good grade (and is 10lb 8oz!), and we came back. doesn't sound like a lot, but man - it wore me out :P
trying to keep up the house while i'm home is tiring. how we did this before is beyond me. we've got a lot of stuff to follow up on, with doctors for him and me and other appts. i've also tried to keep out of the house so that i don't hermit up completely. it's been a whirlwind, but i didn't expect a 12 week vacation in the least, so that's ok.
mother's day was amazing. we didn't do anything particularly breathtaking (although dinner was yummmmmy) but i had my boy, and that's all i ever needed. i've earned the best title/job/role i never knew i always wanted, and yesterday was just a nice day for me. i'm already thinking of father's day stuff for chris. :)
now i'm looking forward to going out to dsp on saturday - i've been not even thinking of hitting a roller derby practice because they're in the district, and right now that's just too far to go with having to feed him, run out there, practice and come back and be in pain due to his nursing schedule. but dulles sports plex is nice and close.... so saturday i'm going to get to lace up and practice! i'm going to take it way easy, but man - i will be so happy to be able to skate a little!
anyways - i'm so tired i'm not sure that any of this made any sense to anyone but me. but that works.
