Captain Bonehead Versus Dumb Crap
Much forgetting of important stuff. Forgot Dad's birthday is tomorrow. Forgot to pay a couple bills. Forgot grocery shopping. Forgot my own ass, until I sat down and suddenly found it.
Gave up and took the lawnmower in to get it repaired. The guy gave me one of those "you're kidding, right?" looks, which does not bode well. May have to break out the old push mower tonight.
The air conditioning has been out at work for about a week now. I've been wearing old shirts I now find embarassing, suburban douchebag party guy stuff, simply because they are lightweight. I feel like an idiot in this shirt.
I tried to watch the original version of The Italian Job, but gave up because the Netflix disk would freeze briefly every few seconds. That's a pretty fatal blow to a caper film.
My brain always turns into mush in July. Con withdrawal, I suppose. I'm letting stupid things get out of hand. Which is irritating, as I thought I was really getting on top of stupid things. But I'm letting them out-stupid me. Maybe next week I'll normalize a bit.
