I received more cards today, from

Have done some fun things lately. Went to the bay area and to the drive-through Dickens Faire and a walk-around German market holiday faire with friends, and then had a waffles breakfast with more friends.
Also went to a live production of The Nutcracker with a friend who sees it every year. I haven't seen it for probably two decades, and just really enjoyed it. There's a scene where partygoers carry clockwork dolls into the party, put them down, and they dance. Two were in a geometric patterned costumes, and I couldn't help but picture Steve with a pre-serum (but healthy) body, being carried by Bucky dressed as one of the partygoers in a regency coat and tights, it was a lovely vision.
Between lovely times I have been weirdly stressed, just falling into that ridiculous 'I must find amazing presents, I must do Christmas perfectly' thinking, which is...stupid. Especially this year, when I'm only seeing my family, who are mostly all pretty mellow. I've had some odd weepiness, just the season I guess. I started a Christmas fic, which is mostly about the stress of present shopping. It's kinda weird, but I think I'll try to write it tomorrow afternoon, if I can keep it short.
