I felt like I jinxed myself when I posted several months ago that I was able to get out of bed without stopping, because then of course the next day I couldn't. But it's been a good 5 days that I've been able to put the cat food bowls down in the morning without dropping them the last few inches. I can bend all the way, yay!
Dad and I didn't get his IRS issue resolved today because the phone line says it's busy and to call back later, which seemed pointless since it was already Friday afternoon. We'll try next week. I joke that we're trapped in a Monty Python skit to keep things light for him, but this is getting seriously frustrating. He's a 90-year-old man who has filed tax returns from the same address for over 5 decades, (seriously FIVE DECADES) JFC, this shouldn't be so difficult to prove he is who he is.
And Michael Nesmith passed away at 78, I feel very sad about that, but also grateful that we were able to see him recently. My first concert since the start of the pandemic, that was so exciting, and it was obvious that he wasn't in great health, but he and Mickey Dolenz still did a great show.
I took a break from listening to Christmas carols to spend some time with the Monkees, this was the best video I could find highlighting Mike:

Or this one has Mike and a sense of the wackiness of the show:
