The jury is no longer out on Ruby.  I whole-heartedly love her.  This episode was flat-out awesome.  I adore the mythology twist.  And, of course, I despise the writers' strike more than ever.

This was easily my favorite episode of Season 3 so far.  The boys finally got back to saving people, hunting things.

Well, Bela does not improve with repeated viewings.  While much of her character annoys me, the thing I hate most is how she always brings out the worst in Dean.  Over the past two seasons, the show has demonstrated an alarming tendency to sacrifice Dean's character to the altar of comic relief.  In this episode alone, we have at least four ( Read more... )

This might be my favorite funny episode ever.  It was a nice, understated, plot-driven funny...not an over-the-top, screw-the-plot, Tall Tales kind of funny.

Best Episode Ever!!!

For the first time in a long time I can honestly say that there is absolutely nothing I would change about this episode.  It was an absolutely brilliant Dean character study.  Since the entire world was a figment of Dean's imagination, I am about to go way overboard with my analysis. Bear with me.

Seriously...how many movie references were there in this episode? 5?  I know Dean must have spent many hours in crappy motels watching movies on cable, but jeez.  I sincerely believe that one of these days he's going to slip and compare a person/situation to The Little Mermaid or An American Tail instead of his usual manly movie.
