Jan and I had a great hike yesterday. We went from the horse camp hill down to the dam at Two Mile. Made a loop of it and came back a different way. The trail we came back on is "closed" but we went on it anyway. There were some trees down across it but we managed. The air was still and the snow clung to the branches of the trees and bushes the whole time. Because it wasn't breezy even though the temps were freezing it didn't feel that cold. Afterwards we ate at Trails to Ales and I got my favorite - their margarita pizza is the best around. Pictures - I was using the little full spectrum camera with no filter on it yesterday:
My windshield when I started the car.
Sun in our eyes.
I liked how there was a little bit of gold color in the beech leaves.
Reminded me of a tarantula.
Like scattered pipe cleaners.
The dam.
Climbing back up the hill to the horse camp on the "closed" trail.
It's supposed to rain most all day today. Blaa. Though I do have a couple projects I want to work on so that's good. I want to try out making a different kind of journal book with kraft-tex covers. Make one with fancy and odd paper pages along with watercolor and plain white pages. And I want to make some more lucet bracelets. That should keep me busy along with piano practice. I found a new song last night that I want to try: "All My Trials" by Peter, Paul and Mary. It has 3 flats so that will be a trial for me!
