Good morning. The little table by the back door this morning. Handy to put your cup down on while you open the door if you're carrying something - which I was - my laptop.
Last night Pete was finally moved from the emergency room into a regular room in the hospital. Seems to be doing better.
Yesterday Dave and I went to the Palma Sola Botanical Garden and the Robinson Preserve. Some pictures:
At Palma Sola we sat on the swing in the gazebo beside one of the little ponds.
Waiting to be occupied.
Robinson Preserve had a giant jungle gym for kids to play on. No kids in this picture but there were lots of kids there - screaming and having fun.
We walked a short distance on one of the trails.
In one area all the bushes of this type had a dragonfly. A little dark spot on the top tip of each one.
Close up. I looked it up just now - Carolina Saddlebag dragonfly.
Coming back you can see how big the jungle gym is - though this is just one side of it - it probably went back from here 3 times the distance.
Nice view.
They call this the "Bird's Nest" - a meeting center.
Massive banyan tree beside the parking lot.
Tonight we will be going to the closing show at Kathy's Island Co-op gallery. They will be moving everything to a new location in downtown Bradenton next week.
