Dave and I went out to Anna Marie Island yesterday to check out a place where he might want to fish while we're here.

A dolphin passed by while we were out on the pier.

Afterwards we shopped at Publix for fixings that we could use to make dinner. We made baked grouper fish, salad and cheesy rice-a-roni. Kathy spent most all day in the hospital with Pete.

Here's the pictures I talked about yesterday that I took when we were at Congaree National Park on Monday:

Swampy land.

We walked the whole way on the Boardwalk Trail. 2.6 miles of practically level boardwalk. This would be so great for someone in a wheelchair.

Some kind of early little flowers blooming.

Inviting benches in many places along the way.

I liked how the bark on this tree was so different on each side.

Bald cypress knees.

Interesting colors and textures on this tree.

We wondered what this was. There were quite a few of them attached here and there to the boardwalk planks.

A patch of yellow flowers. Sorry - maybe later I'll take the time for flower ID and add more info about things we saw.

A former champion Loblolly pine tree.

Coming into a patch of palmetto palms.

Pollen from pines on the surface of the water.

Another beautiful day here. Perfect temps and sunny. 71F and going up to 80 later. Don't know yet what we'll be doing...
