Rooted.

Last night I had a dream where I was rescuing Kim H from a wolf. We were down over the hill from the goat shed (when I woke up later I realized that it was the place of our pet cemetery). I had a long walking stick and we were trying to carry a bunch of art works and knickknacks/remembrances back home when the wolf appeared. It was ferocious. I was able to swing my stick at it and keep it back and had a plan to stab it if it came closer. Swinging the stick did scare it away though and we continued home. End of dream.

Last evening we went to the last night of Kathy's art gallery being open. They had live music out front and it was pretty crowded inside. Kind of sad because it was the end of a long era of that space being a gallery. The artists are all moving to a new spot downtown next month but they need to get their art out of the old gallery this weekend. I'm going to help Kathy pack up and move her photos today.

I stopped and talked to the husky in the back of that car on the left. When I talked to it it started to "sing" along with the music.

Crowded. There was cake and wine. I had 2 glasses of wine which helped me get out of my introverted mood a bit.

This is a photo that I lifted from facebook of all the artists that were there that night. Kathy is in the middle of the back behind the woman in the red shirt and the woman in the black dress.

I saw some handmade books with covers made with a material called Kraft-tex. It felt like leather. The artist had used the eco printing method to dye the covers. Quite lovely. Now I want to get some kraft-tex and play around with it. You can sew it and make purses, wallets, book covers, ornaments, etc. You can paint it, dye it, print on it. Very durable and can be washed in the washing machine and dried in the dryer.
