monday
dave and i had lunch with chloe yesterday at el toro
then we walked around the mall and
wandered in the antique market
i got a new scented lotion at
bath and body works
pear crème brûlée
the ice is terrible in some places
dave put salt on the driveway
near where we park the car and truck
hopefully it will be safer now
in the night
i set my phone on the little bedside table
and then take off my glasses
i always like seeing how how the glasses are illuminated like
a neon sign
finished watching "glow"
now where am i going to find something else so enjoyable?
it's only mid february but i'm already longing for spring
or at least wishing this ice and snow would melt so i could walk freely outdoors
dave took andy to the creek yesterday and said afterwards it was tough going
a hard ice crust on deep snow
if it was difficult for him i'd say it was impossible for me
one of my morning meditation readings was about
not forcing a solution
being patient
things happen in their own time
all my longing for spring is not going to make it happen
i need to immerse myself in the now

if i wanted to pass time i'd either read something or watch something on netflix
or shop for/look at/compare things i'm thinking of buying
i like to check the weather in different places too
