Having a wet summer so there are lots of fungi growing! I don't think I have ever seen the blue/purple one before. That buck was a lucky shot.

I think you should save for the D850, M. It's going to become an outrageous deal soon.....I think I'm going to step sideways into the mirrorless Z system, or I would be waiting to pick up the 850.

Ha! I was just this moment looking at the mirrorless cameras! Lots to think about. This photo spree I took today tells me that I do love taking pictures with a big camera, more so than with just my phone. It would be so great to have a relatively lightweight full frame camera with perhaps a pancake style lens on it. I could get a lot of use out of that.

Thanks. All it takes is to stop and snap a picture every time you see something of interest. :-) I think most people just don't have the patience to stop so often. I know sometimes I don't.

I know! I only set out to get a picture of the inside of the ghost pipes but then I kept seeing more and more interesting things. Tis the season of strange fungus. :-)

Yes! There was even a bee tasting the flowers but it was kind of dark in the woods and all the pictures with the bee were blurry.
