Last night
Today.
Another busy day today. Took Rainy for her shearing this morning. Went shopping at Walmart while she was at the groomer's and happened to see Hazel there - she was on break. After I was home for about 5 minutes I turned around to drive back to town to take Rossy to hang out with his friends.

The neighbors who own the lake had a bulldozer in there today and were contouring the ground on our side of the lake to hopefully prevent deeper gullies from forming in the future. A couple pictures of what they did so far:
This is only the beginning of moving dirt around. I think they are going to plug up the 2 gullies that bring the flood waters from our property over into the lake during flood times. They wiped out some of the trails I had made through this section - now just loose dirt.
I ended up talking on the phone to the new owner of the lake - Tod. He is my first cousin once removed, grandson of my Uncle Joe. We lamented that something in the past had made the family fall apart and we didn't know each other that well, though we were able to work out what our relationship was. We congratulated each other on being neighbors now, after all these years.

I just found out that my childhood friend, John Grill, who grew up in the house we are living in now died of covid - he was living in Florida. He was only one year older then me. Sad.
