Candy and I walked today as usual but we needed to find a place where the deer hunters wouldn't be. This is the second day of buck season and there are still lots of hunters out there in our favorite forests. We thought that maybe walking in Hasson Heights Park in Oil City and then going over to the cemetery would be a safe thing to do. It was drizzling most the time. I took lots of pictures and used the plastic Diana lens on my camera which made for a dreamy look.
The path leaving Hasson Heights that takes you towards the cemetery. Lots more pictures:
Someone who greets you near the entrance.
Looking in through the window of the little chapel. It seems there are atmospheric disturbances in the air.
Candy waiting for me to catch up.
Mossy.
The Oil City cemetery has many mausoleums.
Working our way up higher on the hill.
This was my destination - the place where you can look down on the town and see the twin steeples of St Joseph's church in the distance.
Candy looking at the view.
Purple.
Yellow.
More of Oil City from another hillside.
Rabbit.
Leaving - another picture of the woman at the gate.
I really love how the Diana lens makes the edges of things seem to glow. I think I will leave it on the camera a while longer. I'm glad we discovered Hasson Heights as a possible safe place to walk in hunting season. We never even got around to walking in the park yet - spent all our time in the cemetery.
