It was cold this morning but Candy and I bundled up well and hiked the 5.5 miles down to Dennison Run and then up to the lookout on the Kennerdell Tract. One of our favorite hikes even though it has huge hills to climb.
Dennison Run from one of its many bridges.
Looking down on Dennison Run and a bridge that goes over it.
Curly ice coming out of the ground.
Candy resting while waiting for me to catch up. Today was one of those wonderful winter days where the snow shines like rainbow diamonds in the sun and powdered snow sifts out of the trees sparkling on the way down.
At the lookout. The view of the Allegheny River while sitting on the bench there.
Got home and took a 2 hour nap. Being out in the cold like that made me tired. Then tonight Hazel and I went out to dinner at Eat'n Park - I got my new favorite meal - blueberry pancakes. Here is her cold brewed coffee with creamer working it's way down through the ice. I liked how it looked:
Stalactites.
