My view from the kitchen window early this morning. I didn't realize that Johnny and Rossy had finished digging the trench for the electric line last night. I went in when it got dark but they stayed out and kept digging til it was done. Dave will put the electric line in the ground today and we will probably move the coop over today too. I imagine watching the chickens this summer from the comfort of the chase-lounge in my tent there on the right.
Last evening we were down back throwing the ball for Andy when Jules came to the top of the hill to say that a bear was heading our way. It had passed by his house and was coming over the hill. We looked and there it was walking down the path in our direction. Andy didn't see it or smell it - which was good. Then it saw us and turned around and went the other way. I brought all the bird feeders in just in case it wanted to come back and pay us a visit last night. It didn't. Now though I don't want to put the chickens out till we get the baby monitor. It will be here on Monday.
