dennison run trail

Snow patterns.

It was a big hike (almost 6 miles) and we were very tired and sore footed afterwards - down a huge (to me) mountainside and then back up again - but it was very worth it - beautiful snow falling with some sun breaking through now and then. I used the pin hole setting on the camera again.

Ground pines.

Sun and Candy.

Me - I got a new hat that I love.

The first bridge - there were many more.

Boulder stream.

Upstream rocks.

Icicles under bridge.

Upper Dennison Run.

Some blue sky appearing.

It started snowing again.

Down stream.

Candy resting while I went off to pee.

A lean-to someone had built.

The overlook with snow falling.

Candy sitting at the overlook - waiting for me to catch up.

Overlook fence.

Kennerdell obscured.

Kennerdell appearing as the snow clears.

Kennerdell more.

One last look. I think this might be my favorite picture of the day - something about all the different textures.

Drooping branches.

Shadows.

Baby pine tree.

A woodpecker restaurant.

Afterwards on the way home we had a late lunch at Taylor's Pub. Hot coffee, fish sandwich without the bun and french fries. The waiter was someone that Candy's sons had grown up with - it was nice to hear how much he liked their family.
