Hi Erica.

If you don't need the extra lesson, that's fine with me. And if you only have two movements, well, then, of course, you'll only submit two. Being productive (that is, "bringing in lots of notes") has always been an issue for you in comp, Erica, so this isn't a surprise to me. You have a real gift for inventing material, but the business of "working it out" has always been hard. You're like a novelist who comes up with brilliant characters, but can't devise a plot.

Make sure what you submit is clean and carefully edited. And I'll see you on Saturday.

Best,

SE

Thanks for being understanding. Your assessment of my situation is pretty accurate, I suppose. I do enjoy writing (though with every comp. seminar I attend, I realize how much more anchored in tonality I am than everyone else), though I oftentimes have a hard time making myself just sit down and work on writing... that's where my problem is. And I always tell myself I have to devote more time to it but then a week of classes passes by and I find myself in the same boat, always trying to work on stuff at the last minute. I really hate that I end up doing that to myself... I feel bad personally, that I'm not working to my potential, and also very guilty that I never have enough done when I come in. Hopefully once I'm done with everything here at school, I'll find time to work on stuff on my own and feel better about what I'm doing. I'll try to keep in touch when I leave LVC and email you some things I've worked on now and then, if you'd like. Well I'll get cracking tonight and get my work to you as soon as possible. Thanks again...
