I move to New Jersey on Sunday.
I have several applications out for jobs; most are at-home technical support jobs with minimal travel requirements (saving on gas ftw!), but one stands out in particular. My favorite gadget blog (and the one with the largest readership), Engadget, is hiring for writers and an east-coast based editor. No professional experience required! I submitted my application with three sample posts in the Engadget style (hit the link above for examples), my list of favorite gadgets of all time, info about me, and a blurb about why I think Engadget is different from other gadget publications.
This would be one of the ultimate jobs for me; professionally writing about gadgets from home, and getting to review them on occasion and attending gadget events. All for pay and benefits. Wow. PLEASE keep your fingers crossed for me.
