Back in RI for the week. It's weird to think I'm unemployed; I haven't been that in about five or so years. I went right from Borders to Brown with no break. It's interesting and exhilarating and only makes me a little nervous.
I'm not really hurting for money. My final check was around $2400 and I have another $1800 on the way from my 403(b) (I know, I know; it's against everyone's advice; too bad). I bought a new iMac since the University took my laptop back, and got a great deal on it since it's the 20" model before the current one, so it was only $1049; added 2GB of RAM for 4GB at only $62 per stick, but I also got a free iPod Touch with it, which I put up on Craigslist for $225, so all in all the iMac was under a grand. And, in case you were wondering, I LOVE it. World of Warcraft is a whole new experience.
So, now just to pack and move. I can't wait. Being apart from :F: really sucks during the week, and traveling back and forth is pretty lame, too. Also, starting a new job will be nice. I felt bad on my last day at work - bad, that is, that I didn't feel bad about leaving! That place is screwed. They dodged the corporate buyout bullet for now, but the plans they have for marketing are just crap. There's just no creativity in that place. In five years or less they will become corporate - they can't evade it. I'm just glad I got out before then.
