President Bush has been working to push through a number of last minute changes to environmental laws and regulations, either weakening them or adding loopholes.

This article has a good overview of some of his changes.

I just finished reading a pretty good article on The Nation about Ralph Nader titled Nader's Stubborn Idealism. ThirdPartyTicket.com is a site raising pledges to fund a real open presidential debate. While this time around I'm firmly supporting Obama I still think this is an important issue. People need to know there are other options for them to vote, not just the lesser of two evils. And that our current system is designed to keep anyone not affiliated ( Read more... )

Progress Florida is a cool site I found a few weeks ago, so far all I've really done with it is subscribed to the news feed which is a handy source of daily news on Progressive issues specifically dealing with Florida.

The site also does user networking, blogging, event planning and I'm sure other stuff that I haven't poked at yet.
