Bwah! Sandrock talks to him in images! Sandrock is telling him to listen to outer space! Quatre is jealous of the lending of Heavyarms to Heero!

This was largely inspired by looking for GW fic, and noting with dismay that I could not find a single one which even noted, let alone focused on, any of Quatre's characterization past about episode 5.

Also: Duo. Crying. Why???

Wah, I do not have a GW icon anymore! I used to have one of Quatre wearing pink and looking terrifying, it would have been really appropriate! This has been one of my favourite fandoms for years, and I am very gleefully watching people get sucked into it by your awesome summaries ( ... )

Hey, didn't I friend you in the first place because of your X-Men Crack Van post? Maybe Crack Van needs an intro post to Gundam Wing! (Written by you, I mean; I don't know the fandom, as opposed to the show, at all.)

Yes, I would love recs. I took a look around and... wow... even worse than usual, just going by the many many first paragraphs I read and then got no farther. So yes, I already encountered and was greatly disturbed by Saint Duo and weeping angel Quatre. Often with song lyrics.

I am sad that there is little on Quatre, because I love him. Last night I was re-watching disc two with yhlee, and watched her face when we got to the bit where he casually remarks to Rashid that the soul of outer space told him something.

yhlee: "...What? WHAT. No! Don't tell me he's crazy too!"

Me: Bwa-ha-ha!

But as I bitched about above, I have yet to find any fic which focuses on why I think Quatre is cool, which is the way that he seems so sweet and gentle, and really is so sweet and gentle, and yet he's also a deadly scary ( ... )

This fandom doesn't really *do* gen. I mean I, personally, would be delighted to read piles of it, but there aren't any. Except for the ones with OCs travelling from our world in order to become gundam pilots and save the world, and I'm assuming you don't want those. Also, Heero is my own favourite, so I tend to know stories with him in more, sorry. Most of these will have spoilers for the end of the series ( ... )

The big damn gen epic for GW is "Sainan No Kekka", which has everyone. I don't think I ever finished it; I should do that. There is a bit of Heero/Relena I think, and Duo/Hilde? But not much. I like this. It's an interesting take on Quatre's empathy and his relationship with Sandrock.

He's my favorite pilot and when I fist came into the fandom I also found it a bit difficult to find good stories of him, but they are out there, a lot less than what Heero and Duo get since they are the most popular ones but a lot more than you think. If you want me to give you some links or anything, just let me know. I'm always happy to help a fellow Quatre fan to find good fics.

There is a rec site for Quatre fics called Absolutely positively Quatre. It hasn't been updated in a while and it probably won't be anymore but you can find tons of good fics there.

Since I see you are looking for a Quatre with balls SDQB is the place for you. The SDQB wants to promote Quatre as the strong but sensitive guy he is It has an Archive for the ML which won't be updated anymore, but the updates and new fics can be found at the LJ comm (sdqb). And let me take this opportunity to invite you to post this ficlet there and anything else that falls into the guidelines.

Love Quatre is the archive of what used to be the Love Quatre ML. Not updated anymore but again, lots of fics there.

Gundanium Line is not a Quatre archive, is a GW one for invited authors. However, the site owner has a weakness for Quatre and therefore, lots of the fics there and lots of the authors write him. Browse through the archive, I'm sure you'll find lots to read. You can keep up with updates through the ML or gundam_echoes.
