Speech Day's tomorrow. The end of campaigning, the end of coming to school at 7 a.m, the end of wearing a red tie and a humongous name tag. Seems just like yesterday when it was my turn to do all this.
Not only does Speech Day remind me of my days as a candidate, it reminds me of how close we are to the end of our term. That soon enough, I'm going to find my successor and hand it over to them to (hopefully) bring council to more than what it already is. Part of me is excited to find out who is going to take over these shoes of mine (hopefully I've managed to make those shoes of a massive size to fill), yet part of me doesn't want to let go. But I guess it's still a little too early to say right now. After all, campaigning's still not over till the bell goes.
