Summary: These two finally go out for their auction not!date, and do their best to keep the awkward to a minimum.
It had taken a few weeks, but Bastet and Neil had finally managed to set up a time to hang out. She wasn’t sure how things would go, but they were both willing to work at this, so she could only hope for the best. A gust of wind made her frown, and she pulled her woolen cap lower over her ears; she’d taken to wearing a braid nowadays, as it was easier to wear winter hats that way.
It didn’t take long before Smoke’s came into view, and she hurried the last few yards to get in out of the cold. She stopped just inside the door to scan the main room, a small figure almost comically bundled in a thick white coat and hat. She didn’t immediately see him, but she was a little early; maybe she’d just find a table in the meantime.
