Summary: Tomoe arrives in Edensphere; Reed is the guard on duty to greet her.

Reed had finally found an hour of good fortune in a week- or perhaps a month- marked by noise and intrusions when he returned to his station as a hatchery guide and was greeted- at long last- with quiet. No radios crying out secrets, no unseen critics heckling his actions. Perhaps one kind soul had done his fellow guides a favor and cleared the chamber; perhaps they were merely quiet. It was good fortune he was wiling to leave unexplored for now.
The soft ripping and squirming of a cocoon under stress, however, was not, and his ears were thankfully quick to pick up on it. He slung a towel over his shoulder and stepped out into the sea of pods; thankfully it seemed there was only one this time...
