Tuesday...well, I found out that Lakeisha has STD's which are spreadable. Yea...we don't know what she has yet but we know we have to be extra careful. Zach got back from Rome today in time to wish my momma and daddy a Happy Anniversary. HAPPY 25TH ANNIVERSARY MOM AND DAD! I love you both and am honored to have you as my parents. You two have set such an example in the devotion a marriage should have.
Wednesday, I took my car in to have the oil changed and once it was done I picked it up only to drive a little down the road and my car engine light come on. COME ON FORD! I don't have time for this! So, I took my car down to the Ford Dealer after calling my dad depressed at the thought of what it could be and nervous since I needed to leave Friday morning to go home for my parent's anniversary party. Well, it was going to be at least tomorrow before they could see it. Great...lucky for me, Laura had took me over there so I was able to ride back with her so that I could go to work. That night at dinner, Latavia threw away all her food after complaing for over 30 minutes about how she was starving and could we hurry and go to dinner. She said the food isn't edible. Come to find out, she did about the same thing for lunch. Well that gives her a critical so when she wanted a snack she couldn't have one and it took away some of her points. Also, Amanda and Lakeisha are grooming each other. I guess if you're only around girls it makes sense. Especially with their backgrounds it's hard to trust guys! Though it doesn't make logical sense hooking up with another person in treatment with serious problems, I guess to them they can associate and understand and so even though it doesn't make healthy sense, that's what is comfortable to to them. I hope that they come to know what a real relationship is suppossed to be like as they get older.
Thursday, I got a call in the morning saying my car was going to be $400 to fix. I thought it was a great deal but found out from dad it was bad. I ended up finding a guy who would put on a new hose for me (I had a huge leak to where it was about to fall apart). When I go home next time (which dad doesn't realize will be tomorrow), I will have new spark plugs put on it as needed as well. Angelica is leaving tomorrow. Her caseworker told her she was sick of dealing with her and if she wanted to go for a home pass this weekend she could just stay. I don't blame her for leaving. If she would have stayed, with the caseworker's attitude, I would've been scared of when I was going to be released if I was her. They have drug their feet on so many things she's needed and it's mind boggling. She is an 18 year old girl still being controlled by the state because they are mainpulating her. I'm proud of her for having the strength to go home.
Friday, I left to go home for the anniversary party. I hung out with Aaron getting some things I needed that afternoon and then we went to dinner and hung out with his parents. It was nice just being able to relax. I went home really late that night to Lori's to sleep over. We chatted for a while about her guy and just had some girl talk which was nice cuz I haven't seen her in forever and I miss being able to hang out with her. I wish she was up at BSU so that we could hang out because she definitely understands a lot of stuff that most don't. She'll always hold a special place in my heart.
Saturday, I got up and left Lori's around 11 to go get balloons and flowers for the reception. I also picked up candles and some other odds and ends for the tables. Aaron met me to help get everything. We took my car over the Factory Card Outlet to pick up the balloons. Well, unfortunatley since the heat index was 110 I had 2 balloons pop while Aaron put them in the car and another on the way there because it was so close to the window. When you have 20 balloons crammed into a car though it's hard to avoid that. Needless to say though, I freaked cuz it messed up the combos. But, I just redid the plan and everything worked out. Not perfectly like I wanted it, but I should learn to adjust :) I pulled it off wonderfully! Mom and Dad had absolutely no idea! It was tons of work but I think they enjoyed themselves and that's what mattered. The cake was gorgeous and tons of people showed up. The tables I decorated great if I do say so myself! I had found these fake flower petals which I scattered across the tables to add a special elegant touch. My least favorite part of the party was when my aunt told me I should speak. I hate speaking in front of people especially about 80 people! I said a short thing, hugged my parents, and quickly bowed out of that situation! Only bad part of the day (other than the balloons) was Aaron informing me that morning that he was leaving right after the party to go down to Nashville to fly out for Phoenix the next morning. The plan had been for him to hang out with me (had been the plan for over 6 months). I was not happy one bit and missed him since he left without me truly getting to say goodbye since there were still people there and all. Overall the day went great but I am glad I don't have to plan anything huge like that again until my wedding!
