Misawa was vaguely aware that there was snow outside. He hadn't seen any reason yet why he ought to go out into it, instead giving his attentions to a very thick book he had propped in his lap. Occasionally, he would take notes on it. As far as he was concerned, there wasn't much that would improve the afternoon, but there were one or two things. For example, a hot drink would improve matters, as would some company. With that in mind, he set his work aside for a moment to see what Miyako was up to, and if she had any inclination to share some hot chocolate.
