Madrid
First off, Madrid was AWESOME! I had such a great time there...not partying and such (haha, me, partying by myself in a strange city...as if >.<), but I had such a relaxing time.
To begin with, I had my own room, bathroom with shower and all for the two nights that I was there =), and the owners were nice, if a bit noisy =P. First day, I arrived in Madrid at around 11am, was at my accomodation by 12 =). The underground system in Madrid is clean and efficient, and you don't have to walk ridiculous distances between platforms like in Paris, and the trains were quick. Went looking for a supermarket (didn't find one but meh!), but ran into 3 American backpackers. Very interesting and nice guys, but I wanted to get rid of them...one of them was kinda cute...but he was wearing a Manchester United top so bleh! Haha =.=.
The rest of that day, and the next two days I guess were spent randomly wandering around Madrid, stopping in the many parks around town, and then just sitting down and reading a book or relaxing...it was wonderful. And I really liked the weather too, kinda like Adelaide. It's how summer is meant to be (not stupid English weather). Haha. And my food was random. I only had tapas once (sooooo good!) and for dinner one night I had gelato...I'm not complaining though, it was good =).
To be honest, most people probably wouldn't have found my trip particularly exciting, but I had fun, and most of all it allowed me to spend time by myself and relax....I wouldn'd have missed it for the world, though I guess I'm kind of glad that after all this random travelling, I'm finally coming back to Australia. Not Adelaide I admit, but Melbourne, which is good enough for the time being.
Met a random lady at the airport though. She was nice =). I think I'll keep in contact with her through MSN. Yay for talking to randoms.
Anyways, adios peoples, and the next time that I'll be talking to you, I'll be in Melbourne.
