Always crashing in the same car....

I have temporarily named our second child. Since we won't know what the gender will be until sometime around Christmas, we need to decide on a name for either sex. This is difficult. For now, I am calling it in honour of Radiohead, "Kid B". That would make Alex "Kid A". "Kid B" is due to drop on May 18, 2008.

Our weekend in San Diego two weeks ago was fantastic. We got some much needed rest, cooler weather, and a wonderful day at a not-crowded-at-all Sea World.

Last Thursday, I was driving to work and a 17 year old high school kid slammed into the back of my car. I've been haggling with his insurance and its taken the body shop a while to get all the parts in. I am finally dropping it off on Monday morning and picking up a rental car. I can't believe this is my second car accident in less than a month. I know I was due because I'd never had one prior to last month, but this is getting ridiculous. I now have the body shop's number programmed into my cell phone. Sad but true.

And even though the Dbacks didn't win last night, it was still a great time at Chase Field. Alex, myself, Shannon, her parents, and our buddy George all went to the game. My voice is still hoarse. I've never been to a National League Championship game before. I've been to a few A's games over the years when they were fighting for the pennant (last time was in 1992), and I didn't go to any Giants LCS games in 2002.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say if Colorado manages to sweep Arizona in this series, Boston or Cleveland is not an automatic lock to win the World Series. I still have hope for a Dbacks/Indians World Series. A WS loss to Cleveland would be easier to swallow than one to the freakin' Red Sox and their annoyingly, obnoxious fans. One championship in 89 years is more than enough. It's time for some new blood.
