Hey beloved readers! I got pictures and Hubby got video of the blizzard that hit, so I figured I'd upload everything and let you all see what happened in Ulysses, KS :P We never lost power or anything!

We ended up with 19 inches of snow over a 24 hour period (give or take a little), some of which drifted to 3 feet or more!

Well it's still comin' down.  They just closed the last road in or out of town about 30 or 45 minutes ago.  And it's still coming down.  We still have power, as you might have guessed.  Hubby and I have been getting pics and video from time to time, so I'll be sure to upload those eventually ( Read more... )

As some of you know, Kansas and Iowa got hit with bad tornados last night. I was at work when the tornado here hit, and from the destruction path, it looks like it went--quite literally--right atop the building I work in.

Yes all, your beloved bat is just fine...The tornado went just east of us, but we're getting some nice thunderstorms now.

It started doing this cold, unrelenting freezing rain about 6 pm last night--in the 5 minute walk to work, I got damp even through my "waterproof" jacket.  I spent the next two hours putting out snow-melt stuff--by the time we were done with that I was soaked ( Read more... )
