Heyyyy.
Seeing The Police open the Grammy Awards last night was just, wow. Didn't watch the rest of the show because it couldn't have been any better than that. Ended up watching the BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Awards) which was interesting. Coolest award was a Fellowship honor to a lady who has been editing film for over 40 years. She worked on everything from Lawrence of Arabia to Babel. What a glorious career.
It's been a while. Where have I been... I have no idea. I've been totally immersed in Grissomy goodness and my amazement at how much I loved the last ep. Whoever had the idea to cast Schreiber is a genius. I love it when I forget to exhale for 44 minutes. I am now obsessed with Billy's hair. I'll shed bitter tears if it gets cut & colored again.
Good grief. I ate out 6 times last week. Saturday night was a Spanish buffet with so many exotic choices I went into sensory overload. Artichokes stuffed with crabmeat, sushi, little pastries stuffed with fish & fruit, curries and just to finish you off, chocolate fondue, cheesecake and all sorts of delicacies. Can't believe I got out of there alive. This birthday thing can be fun but it'll put a couple of pounds on ya. I've forgotten where my kitchen is.
Broke I am, and the month is only half gone. Had to postpone physical therapy and dog grooming for a while. Poor doggies are so raggedy... guess I'll try to trim them up a bit. Bills from the medical fiasco at the end of last year are starting to roll in and I literally had to retrieve my eyebrows from the ceiling after opening some of them. Apparently Blue Cross is covering about .0000004% of the expenses those flaming assholes. Remind me to not fall apart any more till Medicare kicks in this summer. I hate groveling, but it looks like I'm going to have to finagle some sort of way to cover those bills. Gawd, I sure hope that's all of them.
Dark cold gloomy day here. Matches my mood. : ( Think I'll go watch Manhunter. I need a diversion.
