Today I saw Notes on a Scandal. It goes without saying that Judi Dench was spectacular. I've never seen her do a really evil character, so this was a first. But the best part for me was an explosive performance by Bill Nighy. Lately I've mostly seen him in heavy make-up (PotC) or odball parts, but this was wicked serious. Loved the film for it's intensity and unsettling subject matter. Guilty pleasure, but really creepy. Only thing that bugged me was the overpowering distracting sound track.
And now, time for soup and The Sopranos, in that order.
