(no subject)
so i went to see bob again yesterday at about 4:30pm. nick was there, but only for about a half hour or so, then he said he had to go take care of his parents' dogs since his sister wouldnt do it. i saw those dogs once, cute dogs. at any rate, apparently he did it out of friendship for bob, so he could be alone with me. i was not aware of this til i left, cuz i had to go at 8:45pm to be in hadley. thats when he told me he kicked his friend out for me and i couldnt leave! lol, im so oblivious to stuff like that.
but it was yet another enjoyable evening. he has definitely grown up with joey now being aware of things going on around him. it was funny cuz joey didnt walk in until after nick left and he goes "what is SHE doing here?" and bob casually told him i got there while he was out playing. so joey's like "oh." a couple minutes later bob's mom called and wanted to talk to joey, so he came back in, and joey's friend oscar asked who i was. and bob told him "a friend of mine." and oscar replied with the same oh, and then proceeded to stare at me. he went to play video games, and before joey went to join him bob introduced us. he just kept staring at me so i told him id met him before, a couple years ago, but that he probably doesnt remember me. and he thought i was lying, but bob told him it was true. so joey told me he had an auntie amy and after an uncomfortable pause left the room.
after oscar left bob had to make joey some soup. he took every opportunity he could to come back to the room, tell bob something, and stand there looking at me. apparently trying to make up his mind about what to think or to get a better look at the new stranger. after he ate, bob had to put him to bed. he brought him in the bathroom (but not before joey could steal another glimpse of me) and i heard him ask bob "why do you have a girl in your room?" apparently bob doesnt have any in there any other time, so bob told him something like "well, she's my friend, just like oscar is your friend, and she comes to visit with me just like oscar visits you." and joey gave his answer of "ohhhhhhhhhh" in a very comprehending tone. he walked by the door again and looked at me, so i smiled, and he went to bed.
a half hour later i was leaving and we were talking as we walked down the stairs, bob giving me a hard time, and we heard joey's door open. he came out where we could see him and exclaimed that he had new teeth where he's never had teeth before, and again just stared at me, so i just go "wow! that's cool!" and he was beaming.
so i dont know what joey makes out of me. i think hes curious more than anything else. he apparently doesnt remember seeing bob with any other girls, and if he has it probably hasnt been recently and only a vague memory in his mind. he still looks the same, only taller, and hes really well behaved, and hes definitely a leader, not a follower. really cute kid. and you can tell bob loves him. he knows how to talk to him, not surprisingly.
on sunday i might be going to a maze in sunderland, if i do i think i'm gonna see if bob wants to take joey (who told me himself hes 6 and 3/4 years old!) cuz i bet hed have fun.
time for work, supposed to be the bear today, yay!
btw, serenity is totally awesome!
