Bag Lady

Mar 11, 2008 22:36

This morning I hauled my children out the door and into the car, along with my work bag (containing laptop), bag of yoga clothes, lunch bag, daughter’s backpack (into which I had put her lunch bag), and a bag of small plastic dinosaurs that Kiddo insisted MUST go with him to preschool.  I delivered both kidlings to appropriate locales, along with their assorted bags, and then all of my bags came with me to the office -- only to discover later that the yoga clothes bag was brought needlessly as I can’t do lunchtime yoga on Tuesdays.

In the afternoon, all the bags went from my office back to my car, along with additional camera bag for work-related documentation project in East Oaklandía.

The end of the day brought the process in reverse, except with additional bags -- the bag of dog food purchased en route to get the bag of burritos, chips, and guacamole for dinner.  Arriving back at home, both kiddos claimed that their respective bags were “too heavy” so it was left to mama (since it really wasn't worth a power struggle argument) to carry work bag (with laptop and two additional books), yoga clothes bag, lunch bag, camera bag, backpack (w/lunch bag #2), dino bag, burrito bag, dog food bag, three jackets, one stray shoe, and one art project (paint still wet) into the house.  In one trip, because I hate to do two trips between car and house (I’m lazy that way).  Well... almost one trip since I’m also not quite super-human.  Yet.

Just another day in the life of the bag lady.
