a femme 8th doctor (with stash fabric)
This weekend there was a one day DW con here in Sydney with Paul McGann & Daphne Ashbrook as two of the guests. I only had 3 weeks to make myself a femme version of the 8th Doctor's costume. Even more of a problem for me is that I only allowed myself to use fabric already in my stash - other than the brocade. I had to tell myself it was steampunk inspired as I don't have screen accurate fabric and my brain was twitching.
I used a striped linen/rayon for the skirt, paisley embroidered white on white cotton for the blouse and stash coutil + purchased inaccurate brocade for the corset (and 3 different stash cottons for the petticoat, it took 4.5m). I have a shot blue/green lightweight denim for a jacket or coat but ran out of time to make it. If anyone wants to know what patterns I used I can add that info. I also need to get red enamel paint to finish my sonic, and track down the correct tardis key,

and many ten's .. which I forgot to take photos of.
