The electricity was out at my house when I got home last night after meditation class. There was just enough daylight left for me to do the few outside chores I needed to do, and then light candles inside. I ate a snack and read by candlelight before bed. The lights came on just before I went to sleep.
I didn’t hear about the zombies until this morning. Luckily I’m pretty safe from them, living in the country as I do, far from major centers of cranial density.
In reality, I blame the power outage on an electrical storm. I pretty sure that on my drive home, out of the corner of my eye, I saw lightning strike some sort of tower. That could have been the surge that knocked out the power. I also saw an amazing rainbow. Only the lower sides of the arch on each side were visible, but it was just beautiful, especially against the dark gray clouds.
