Since I obviously have a stick up my shiny arse on account of... well, everything, I've decided to go further and post my favourite songs/videos (songs mostly, because a great deal of them has no official videos) that either Placebo or Brian have done with other bands/as b-sides/whatnot. Anything that's not officially on any of their albums. So here goes. ;)
Indochine feat. Brian Molko, "Pink Water 3". Indochine is a pretty old French band, and this collab was recorded, if I'm not mistaken, in 2005. I've always pretty much thought that Brian has a love affair with the French language. ;) The video is not official.

Alpinestars feat. Brian Molko, "Carbon Kid". The video is official and in a pretty lame quality, but I couldn't find a better one. The video pretty much explains it and it reminds me in a way of Special K, which, as I'd already said, I love. Speaking of, Alpinestars have some great songs of their own.

Timo Maas feat. Brian Molko, "Pictures". Why didn't I post
First Day? Because it's undeniably better known, yet I don't think it's the best among Brian's collabs with Timo Maas. Pictures has a monotonous beat that would be tiresome in any other song, but something - whether it's the lyrics, or Brian, or whatnot - just makes it worthwhile and sexy.

Trash Palace feat. Brian Molko, "Metric System". Honestly, I used to hate this song. There was a time when I couldn't stand anything electronic and I believed Brian was wasting his time. But it grew on me. Come to think of it, it reminds me of some of IAMX songs. And Brian's part in it is awesome. Not to mentiion the weird video. ;)

While surfing YT for the songs, I came across this scary thing: a Trash Palace cover of
Can't Get You Out Of My Head by Kylie Minogue. Brian is there as well. It's insane. XPP
While we're at it, it's worth mentioning that Placebo's covers of any song are usually brilliant.
Brian Molko & Asia Argento, "Je t'aime moi non plus". What did I say about Brian and French? XPP The original is by Serge Gainsbourg and Jane Birkin, which already spells volumes. It was a hell of a provocation back then. ;) I'll spare you the details of what this song does to me. ;)

Faultline & Françoise Hardy & Brian Molko, "Requiem for a Jerk". The original is Gainsbourg's again. It's a perfect morning song. XPP Or a post mortem one... *_*

Brian Molko & Jane Birkin, "Smile". And here's Birkin herself. XPP Really, I adore this song. It's so narcotic!

Placebo, "Fuck U". I'm not really sure if this is a cover and if it is, then who the original is by, but I love how absolutely, artlessly deprecating this song is.

Placebo feat. David Bowie, "Without You I'm Nothing". Finally, here comes the non-album version of my top favourite Placebo song from their eponymous 2nd studio album, featuring David Bowie. Seriously, Bowie and Placebo in one song is more than I could ever beg for. XPP Also, the good ol' days when Brian wore dresses! XPP

Of course this list is far from complete. I've been a fan of Placebo for longer than I care to remember and I love 99 % of what they do. These are just the highlights.
My moodtheme picture is making me feel CRAZY(ier)!!!
