Today started off spiffy, as I went into knowing I had the day off work. It also started rather early, as my brother and his chefs arrived at around 6:30AM. This would normally have pissed me off, but you see one of these chefs is a jamba juice employee, and brought with her the materials for a variety of juices. My day started off right with an aloha pineapple. Then it was an hour or two of soul calibur two and other video games while we let head chef John recommence on the BEST TURKEY I HAVE EVER OR WILL EVER TASTE. Around noon I left the gang of vigilantes to visit my grandmother and more specifically her orange bran muffins. YUM. By two everything was ready, and I sat down to dinner with the members of EVC's anime club. Now let me tell you, these are some cool cats. Candy was the only other girl there but she's awesome and we got along right away. (She's so much like Janessa it's frightening.) And my other new friend is Greg. He's weird but just as cool. Apparently he's living off the money from a law suit from when he was like 4 and is set for the next 10 years so just plays video games and takes apart computers? Sounds like my kind of dude. Only problem is he's 21, and while we get along great it'll be a while before anything could happen there. But yeah, sadly we had to kick these guys out at 6:30 to go to dad's house, where we promptly got scolded for being late, (communications mishap), and ate again. Probably the smallest meal of my holiday life; little slice of ham, scoop of green bean casserole, scoop of corn and scoop of potatoes. Wonderful all the same. The real fun came after dinner though, because I actually got my dad to play board games (understand this is rarer than a blue moon). We played Clue and Cranium. I must say, Clue has gotten easier, and Cranium is still just as fun. (Ask me if I feel the same way if I don't win next time.)
That's all really. Just a good day. Usually holidays are so lousy, but no, not today.
Oh and just in case you care what's been going on in the rest of my life recently...
-saw U2 in concert-awesome show. almost like being at church though, kind of odd for a rock concert.
-saw Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire-gotta say, best one yet. They did leave out some important stuff though. :\
-went out with a guy named David a couple times, nothin' doin'
-still making A's. (we're almost there you guys!)
-most likely quitting job a week from today
And lastly, but also important....
What are we doing this Friday/Saturday night??? I know all you guys are home, let's hit the town!
