So a couple hours ago I was perusing the want ads on Monster, seeing who's hiring (for a change of scene and more importantly a pay bump), and I run across a bunch of listings for PETCO. So I think on it a bit... I like animals, I interact with people all the time as it is, more money, hey why not look into it.
I go through their website, make an account, and go to the part where you fill out an application. Except that it doesn't let me fill out an application, it instead says it has sent me an email thanking me for applying. The email shows all of the usual fields of an application as blank, but says not to worry I can go back an edit my application. So I log in to my new PETCO account to find that while it says to click 'Edit Application' there is no such button accessible to me. By this point I'm fairly annoyed, and resort to calling the tech support number at the bottom of the page. To my immense surprise someone answers the phone. She has a heavy Indian accent, as does the next lady I talk to, so I'm beginning to theorize that either my call was sent to India or that maybe Indian people have an affinity for working tech support at 1:00AM. Either way it was an unproductive roundabout of being told to try things I had already tried, and after 20 minutes of it, the second lady asked me for my user name and password so she could log in as me and see if she had the same problem. I let it be seeing as that I had only entered my name into the system so far. So I told her my ID, and was even frustrated enough to not get embarrassed when telling her my password was '*insert name of old flame here* is sexy'. Finally convinced that I had a point and that something must be wrong with the system, lady number 2 suggested that I try again tomorrow.
...
People in tech support officially suck.
