Today was the LSAT and I am happy to say all the anxiety that I have been having about this test, suddenly faded away. Whenever it is time to take care of something or take a test "for real" or doing something when it counts, for some reason I get into the zone and really nothing deters me and just focus at the task at hand.
Of course like every LSAT there are 5 sections and a writing sample. It was so nice to start out with a section that is not so ridiculous which is reading comp, I felt so confident on that section and then my challenging sections Logical reasoning was next, it was way better than I anticipated, I was going through all the steps in my head for each question type that was on there, it wasn't the fast and furious what do I do for this question but really systematically going through it which is way better for clarity sake. I felt good about a lot of my answers choices which is something I cannot say for past 2 times I took the exam. Then one of my favorite sections was something called Analytical Reasoning (i.e. Logic Games to anyone who has taken the LSAT) basically you have a set of rules and you answer potential scenarios and absolutes about the sample and it is very much like a game. I realized when I got home that for one of the games in that section I misinterpreted the rule, where I got part of it right but there was another part to it that I missed. Thankfully that was like only for 2 questions so I am not too worried.
It was very strange that I came feeling really good about it not so much this is the last time that I will ever take it but really the fact that I really did my best and I am proud of the work I was able to put out today on the exam. Regardless what score I get in July, I had to prove to myself that I was to go in and take the test without freaking out or be overwhelmed with anxiety. The fact that I figured out my misinterpretation at home is indicative that I really learned something from all that studying and it stuck to a degree that I really did do my best. If it is the worst scenario, then I'll have to plan from there and be open to more options and not sell myself short and plus I am thinking about getting a consultant anyway because I honestly believe that my career is in law and obviously it will take a lot of work but at least now I know what I have to do.
