*sigh*
It's been a tough week around here.
We just put our family dog of 13 years to sleep this morning. We had the vet come out to our house and had them do it in the backyard. She hated going to vet. I wanted her to be comfortable when it happened, not scared.
My dad and my brother were there too. We were all in tears as it happened. I let my dog Miles see her after she was gone, but I don't know if he understood or not. We buried her under a tree she used to love climbing in the backyard, right next to the river. Now she'll be able to keep a close eye on all of those squirrels.
I'm going to miss her. It's going to be a while before I stop looking for her when I come home. She was such a sweetheart, even the cats are going to miss her.
