Why I'm reccing this fic:
This is a story that has become a classic in the DS fandom - Kowalski visits Fraser up in Canada after CotW and they fall in love. But this one has won a special place in my heart because of the case. And because of how adorkably appealing a Fraser who is depressed and alone, but doesn't realize that he is depressed and alone, manages to gain extra weight like the rest of us mere mortals. ;-)
"Yes, well, it is November, Ray," Fraser said. "How were the roads? Had they been cleared after Wednesday's snow?"
Ray nodded. "Yeah, mostly. There were a few scary spots, but I made it in one piece. Anyway, who cared if there were a couple of bad patches on the drive, right? I was on a mission."
"You were?" Fraser asked, interested. "What mission would that be?"
Ray reached out as if he were going to ruffle Fraser's hair, then let his hand fall, sighed and shook his head. "Coming here, Fraser. Seeing you."

Ray jostled past Vecchio to get under the spray, and rinsed the conditioner out of his hair, murmuring as he passed, “He followed us home-can we keep him?”
When he wiped the water out of his eyes, Vecchio was giving him a warning glare. “Don’t even think about it, Kowalski. Fraser’s not into kinky stuff. He’s probably not even queer-why do you think he and I never hooked up way back when?”
“Uh, because you were crammed so deep in the closet you couldn’t even find your own ass?” Ray answered, and flipped the hot water off just as he stepped out of the shower.
