Virgil's morning nap is quick evaporating. Instead of cleaning I have:
Shooed the boys outside.
Provided damage control for a wounded ankle.
Stepped on a mirror on the floor.
Cleaned up broken glass.
Threw a load of laundry in the machine.
Went outside to play with the boys.
Came in reheated lunch.
Ate lunch.
Typed and did some dishes.
Soon Virgil will be waking up, the sheep people will be here to draw blood and when exactly am I supposed to sort through school papers and what not?
Tired. I'm torn. I want to be outside with the boys. I want to play with the boys. I also want to weed, mulch, and have a house that doesn't make me sad and tearful. Oh and not having clean laundry strewn across the couches would be nice, too.
Oh and at some point I want to get us over to the pool so that we can 1)play and swim 2)get in some swim lessons before we head to Cancun and the boys are swimming in open water.
Addendum - The vet was so awesome! She's looking for a relief vet in Oct. I'm going to try to ride with her in Aug and set it up so I can take her emergency calls while she's gone. She's just started her practice a year ago and so it could really be a perfect opportunity for me to slowly get back into lg animal vet work as the boys grow. Exciting.
