Galen went in for NAET today. I found his and Perry's old charts and realized we've been treating for some of the same things. :( Not sure why they didn't stay clear. So Dr. Seleme rechecked everything we've done so far and chicken mix was the only thing that hasn't held. I'm not suprised by this and I pointed out to her that he's scared of the birds and that I think there's an emotional component. Well sure enough. I don't know how you put emotions in a glass vial but he ended up being treated for chicken, turkey, feathers, fear, bothersome, and anger.
Honestly, Galen's been really whiny and cranky lately so who knows - maybe this will help personality-wise as well as the runny nose. Certainly, he just came up to me after lunch and was much sweeter and lovey than he's been. What a nice change from after NAET for sugar when he was SO CRANKY. Given that I've done sugar twice now and it was really miserable I can't blame him.
Politics. For those that live near us. The Republican primary is August 23. In VA you don't have to register with any party and there is no Democratic primary (only 1 candidate or less even trying on the D side) So, I've realized that the November election really means nothing at least here in this precinct since the candidate with an R next to their name wins by a landslide every time no matter what. Truly I've seen plenty of Republicans running for minor offices who didn't get the nomination and run as an I and they are way more qualified and it doesn't matter. I've seen plenty of people standing in line to vote memorizing the R list of candidates and talking w/ friends and its quite clear they don't know a thing about any of the candidates or their platforms they simply vote for the R. :(
So if you live around here and you want a say in who repersents you I highly suggest you put Aug. 23 on your calendar.
I'm also going to endorse John Stirrup and Martha Hendley. In our dealings with the chickens both were very nice to us and listened to what we had to say. No, I don't agree with their position on immigrants but if you look at their opponents I think you will notice that their positions are even worse. At least John and Martha have experience and understand how to get things done. They listen to their constituents and try to work with them. They are both committed to getting roads and schools built.
