Coffee anyone?
I know I've be a total douche about this. Really, how long has it been? A few months maybe? I think this is my longest delay yet for any of my fanfics.For "Twist," it was three months (yes, I kept track).
And the Question: Why?
Lie: I've been too busy with work, school, social life, [insert excuse here], etc.
Truth: I've sorta, kinda, maybe lost interest in the fandom.
I mean, how long has it been since it ended (the anime)? Four years? For me to still be semi-interested is huge! Especially if I plan on continuing the fanficiton. Yes, you read correctly, I will be continuing "Cafe" and probably finish it too. My new goal is that I'm going to finish it before the end of next year.
Go me.
And for anyone who gives a damn, the reason I've shifted is because my brain is a fickle pickle and I jump from fandom to fandom. As of right now, I'm in the slashy yet mystical world of Merlin!
But not to worry Death Note fans, I am still among you (I'm just hiding in the corner, drilling peep holes so that I may look at other fandoms as well).
Anyway, I'm stuck on the latest chapter. See, I have my outlines for how all the chapters were supposed to play out but when I made those outlines, I was in Italian class in 8th grade. Surrounded by students I don't associate with. That means that I was bored shitless and wrote the outline for the shits and giggles. I didn't know I was actually going to make a story out of it and actually put it up. More so, I didn't expect people to like it. O.o Weird.
But I must finish what I started and need to clean up my mess.
Problem is, those 8th grade outlines are so stupid and ... ugh! Looking at them now, I can't believe I even thought I would be able to make a decent story out of that. Man! So now that I want to make my story actually readable I need a plot-twist entirely. Which means thinking and planning out everything from the beginning.
But right now, I really need to concentrate on school. I really need to pull my shit together to get hours, haul my ass through extracurriculars and all that stuff. So only if I have free time will I be able to work on Cafe. And even then, I'll still be planning it, not writing it.
Sigh. Woe is me.
