I finally finished reading Catherynne M. Valente's Palimpsest. I read the book very slowly, snatching time for a page here, a chapter there. But I think the reading style suited the book in question. Read Sarah Monette's Mélusine. And sweet fucking gods was it gorgeous. I was totally hooked by page two. It's great to find fantasy novels that don't waste hundreds of pages or a few books until they finally start with the plot.
