As summer comes to an end
I just have a few days until I go back to work. Yes I know it's late in the year for school to start. All the other schools in the area are back in session. But they are working on our building so we get an extra week.
I am enjoying the fruits of my garden. Even though the weather has been cool for summer, my cherry tomatoes are really doing well. I think I will make a tomato sauce from them tomorrow. There is nothing quite as fine as homemade tomato sauce over pasta.
My MIL had her pacemaker implanted today. After a month in the hosp. it's about time. She is allergic to almost everything she says. So she had to be tested to see if she is allergic to any material used in the manufacture of said pacemaker. So she will be going home from the hosp. in a few days. Her other son is coming in to take care of her and give my hubby a rest.
So, I am kind of looking forward to all of that being over.
Did I get everything I planned to do done this summer? NO
Did I have a good summer? YES
