Haiku-a-thon

Jun 15, 2007 02:59

I was just going to post a link to the haiku-a-thon's master list at del.icio.us brought to you by the lovely
trascendenza , but then I decided I wanted a page I could control, even if the organization of it is much shoddier.

Brimstone:

Fallen

Alone in sinful
Pride. Away from His Light and Love
Fallen into Fire

Greatest Achievement

Flipside to Light, order.
Greatest Achievement is
Retaining self-being

Should Have Seen

Veiled hints ducking
Behind smiles and lies. Fate
Is always a bitch.

Letting Go

You don’t want to let
go: not this time. You won’t let
Him have more of you.

Beautiful

I may have sought you
out because of your husband,
but I stayed for you.

Push and Shove

It never lets you
Relax, always pushing you
To further its goal

Out of the Loop

Despite your being
an awakened dinosaur,
you're good company.

Brokeback Mountain:

A Bad Habit

He brings pain upon
himself by not being true
to what makes him smile.

Dead Like Me:

Polar Opposites

Coin’s other side
Always pushing against the
Other to fill gap.

Waffles

A family ‘round
The table eating waffles
Together in death

Crap

The other shoe drops,
Rube looms over my body
as coins hit the ground.

Muleheaded

Both are stubborn. They
do not back down, do not yield
an inch to anyone.

Earthsea:

Mirrors

Mirrors show the truth
The man does not wish to see
But he needs to know

Firefly:

In My Way

Mal being hisself,
Stubborn and delusional
Gorram it to Hell.

Interpreting

People see the world
Through a single perspective,
She sees from many.

Hedwig And The Angry Inch:

Abandoned

Men always leave me
Behind, yearning for someone
New of Sun or Moon.

The Invisible Man:

Pushy

She’s so pushy
But that hides her complex self,
Thus interesting

Enduring

School was long and hard
But you were with me, holding
Me tightly, love.

Liquor:

Liquor

A restaurant with
An Idea suited to
New Orleans: Liquor.

Neverwhere:

A Proper Velvet

A proper Velvet
Sleeps during the Sun’s reign
And snacks at Midnight.

Payment

“You asked me for
A favour not long ago.
Now, I want payment.

Pan's Labyrinth:

Finding

Magic is the world
Beyond what everyone
Believes is true.

Stories

Tales of times long past,
Magic and Sorrow, hope
Grants eternity

Never Give In

Growth under strain,
Dedication, Loss, and Pain,
The Story Again.

Wings

Close your eyes, dear
And soar upon the wings of
Imagination

Threshold:

Armor

It took innocence
To pierce his armor enough to
Make him love again.

Tangled On The Floor

Coats, limbs, yelps, both of
Us yielding to gravity,
Bodies together

Marriage #4

Third Time wasn't the
Charm. Maybe a fourth would break
The trend - if male.

Prepared

What you never thought
Would happen - did. But you have
A plan. Not helpless.

Working

He’s still at work,
Typing away, trying to
Help all but himself

Glad

So embarrassing,
All my fault we’re trapped,
But he seems happy.

Against Me

Kisses on his chest.
I take his hand and unzip
his fly. He feels hard.

Questions

You ask about love,
Marriage, being devoted
But what about me?

Jaded

He wishes he was
younger, that the world was still
White and Black, not gray.

Hope

Lucas makes him want
To believe that everything
Will work out just fine.

Wonderfalls:

Crazy

Essentially,
Talking to stuffed animals
Does not make you nuts.

Crossovers:

Dead Like Me-Brimstone

Aware

The man watches him
With knowing eyes, as if
Aware of his task

The Invisible Man-Threshold

Working

Together at work
In a building full of men,
Sanity in her.

Excuses

It did not take Claire
Long to realize that Molly
Just wanted to meet
